THE CONGREGATION OF MOTHER TERESA OF CALCUTTA

Born from the unwavering faith and dedication of Very. Rev. Fr. Prof. Dr. Anthony Ekendu Onyeocha, the Congregation of Mother Teresa of Calcutta began in Nigeria, 2017, the Congregation of Mother Teresa of Calcutta took root in the fertile soil of Owerri, Nigeria. Bound by the Roman Catholic Church and the unwavering spirit of Mother Teresa, we dedicated ourselves to serving the “poorest of the poor,” finding Christ in the suffering faces of the marginalized. United by our faith and the indomitable spirit of Mother Teresa, the Congregation under the guidance of her Father Founder Very. Rev. Fr. Anthony Ekendu Onyeocha, a priest of the Catholic Archdiocese of Owerri, Nigeria, whose leadership and counsel became the wind beneath our wings. He as our Father Founder and Director General, guiding us as we carry in us the cross of Charity. The Congregation of Mother Teresa of Calcutta received invaluable support and mentorship. Bishop Hilary Dachelem, after proper scrutiny of our foundation and witnessing our unwavering faith and charism, accepted us into his fold, providing us with the guidance and supervision we so need; shepherding us as Christ shepherd his flock. But the heart of the Congregation of Mother Teresa of Calcutta lies not in structures or titles, but in our unwavering spirituality. It is a spirituality woven from the three nails of the crucifixion, symbolizing Christ's sacrifice and love for humanity. It is nourished by the Holy Eucharist, the source and summit of our faith, where we encounter Christ in all His glory. Our devotion to Our Lady, the Immaculata, serves as a beacon of light and joy, guiding us through darkness and uncertainty. And in the poorest of the poor, the Congregation of Mother Teresa of Calcutta see the face of Christ, through close imitation of Saint Mother Teresa of Calcutta her Patroness, a constant reminder of our calling to serve with compassion, love, and unwavering dedication. The Congregation of Mother Teresa of Calcutta is not merely a congregation; we are a living testament to the power of faith, love, and service. Our spirit, vibrant and unwavering, continues to shine brightly in the world, illuminating the lives of those we touch and leaving an indelible mark on the tapestry of humanity. Our charism, a potent blend of devotion, service, and sacrifice, serves as a testament to our unwavering dedication. It is a call to embrace a life of humility and simplicity, to find joy in surrendering to God's will, and to see Christ in the faces of those who suffer. In the shadow of the holy nails, the Congregation of Mother Teresa of Calcutta carry on, our journey a testament to the enduring power of faith and love. We are a living embodiment of Mother Teresa's legacy, a testament to the light that can shine even in the darkest of times. Our lives is a beacon of hope, reminding us that even the smallest act of compassion can make a difference in the world.
