THE REUNION OF BROTHERHOOD
The Reunion, Meeting of the Priests and Brothers of the Congregation of Mother Teresa of Calcutta was successfully held from the 23rd to the 26th. It was a grace-filled gathering marked by prayer, fraternity, reflection, renewal of commitment, and important liturgical celebrations. The days were spiritually enriching and strengthened the bonds of brotherhood among the members.
The meeting brought together Deacons, priests, and brothers from different communities to reflect on their vocation, renew their missionary zeal, and deepen their commitment to the charism inspired by Mother Teresa of Calcutta. The gathering served as an opportunity to reconnect, evaluate the mission, and encourage one another in faithful service to God and the Church.
Spiritual Foundation of the Gathering
The reunion began with a solemn opening prayer and Holy Mass, entrusting the entire program to God’s providence. Rooted in the spirituality of humble service, the participants reflected deeply on their call to serve Christ in the poorest of the poor. Conferences and spiritual reflections centered on fidelity to vocation, fraternity in community life, obedience, simplicity, and joyful missionary service. The days of the Reunion were structured around the Eucharistic celebration, common prayer, moments of silent adoration, and personal reflection. These moments fostered spiritual renewal and interior strengthening, helping each member rediscover the beauty and responsibility of their consecrated life.
Installation of Minor Ministers: Lector and Acolyte
One of the most significant highlights of the reunion was the installation of brothers in theology 2 & 3 into the ministries of Lector and Acolyte respectively. This sacred moment marked an important step in their formation and preparation for deeper service within the Church. The installation ceremony was solemnly celebrated by our Father Founder Very. Rev. Fr. Prof. Dr. Anthony Onyeocha. Through the liturgical rite, the brothers publicly committed themselves to faithfully carry out these ministries. The congregation rejoiced in witnessing their readiness to serve the Church with humility and dedication.
This step signifies not only liturgical responsibility but also spiritual maturity.

Simple Vow Renewal of the Professed Brothers
Another deeply moving moment of the reunion was the renewal of simple vows by the professed brothers. Standing before God, their Father Founder and their confreres, they renewed their vows of poverty, chastity, and obedience according to the constitutions of the congregation. The renewal ceremony was both solemn and joyful. It was a powerful testimony of faith and perseverance. By renewing their vows, the brothers reaffirmed their total self-gift to Christ and recommitted themselves to living the evangelical counsels in the spirit of the congregation. The renewed commitment of the brothers strengthened the entire community and inspired younger members in formation.

Fraternal Sharing and Community Life
Beyond the liturgical celebrations, the reunion provided ample time for fraternal interaction and sharing. The priests and brothers engaged in discussions about pastoral experiences, missionary challenges, and community life. These exchanges fostered unity, mutual understanding, and collective discernment. Recreational moments were also part of the program, allowing members to relax and strengthen bonds of friendship. Such moments of fraternity are vital in religious life, as they nurture unity and mutual support.
As the reunion concluded on the 26th, the participants expressed deep gratitude for the days spent together. The closing Mass was a thanksgiving celebration for the many blessings received. Each member departed with renewed strength, deeper conviction, and revitalized missionary enthusiasm. Inspired by the example and intercession of Mother Teresa of Calcutta, the priests and brothers return to their respective missions and Seminary schools with hearts renewed and spirits strengthened, ready to continue serving Christ in the poorest and most neglected.
May the fruits of this gathering continue to bear witness to faithful religious life and dedicated missionary service in the Church and in the world.
